About
I was introduced to WoW in January of 2005 by a friend. My first character was a Tauren Warrior on Aggramar. At around level 30, my friend tells that they are going to try a PvP server. Okay, so I roll a Dwarven Hunter on Skullcrusher (I think). Level up to around 30 and again, he tells me they are moving back to Horde. *sigh* fine. I haven’t made a tremendous amount of friends, so I head to Kel’Thuzad and roll a Tauren Hunter. Three months, three servers.
I immediately fell in love with the Tauren race here. Already having enjoyed playing a hunter, this was the perfect mix. Leveling wasn’t too painful. I played mostly solo and sucked at PvP, but I managed. At 40 the honor system was released. All hell broke loose. It was a gankfest extraordinaire. I swear packs of Alliance characters came to Desolace just to look for me. Leveling became much more tedious. For a while, I wasn’t enjoying myself. Why I stuck with it, who knows. When the first Battleground appeared, it eased up…a bit. Anyway, I plowed forward to 60.
Level 60. The pinnacle of vanilla WoW. My guild wasn’t a big guild. We struggled at LBRS. Those were the days. I soon grew tired of this routine as well as being farmed for HKs. In my leveling and obsessing of hunter pets, I frequented the site for Good Intentions guild. At the time, it was probably the best resource out there for hunters. Well, boredom setting in, I decide to roll on their server and see if I could infiltrate their ranks. So, hunter number three is rolled, a Night Elf. I harass a couple of the members and somehow manage to get an invite. Huzzah! So this is what a real guild is like… Had a blast leveling up. Raced another guy, epic tales were created. Made some great friends, beat the crap out of LBRS then UBRS. Next up, MC! Huh, so this is what guild drama is. After a few failed attempts, a rift is formed and some people leave. The server. Shit…
Server number 5, Lothar. Back to Horde (yay!). Since there are no such things as server transfers yet, I decide to roll a Shaman. Tauren, of course. Run that bad boy to 60. About that time, those server transfers that didn’t exist? Yeah, they do know. I get to play my hunter again! The guild can manhandle UBRS, but we just don’t have the numbers for MC. A merger is proposed. Iffy, but always the sheep, I head over to the new guild. Wow. 40 man stuff was INSANE! And, after a few weeks (months) of raiding, BAM! Ragnaros goes down. To this day, that is still one of the most impressive memories I have. Hey, maybe I should try a Warlock…
Burning Crusade. Oooh, this is fun. Beast Mastery? Yes please!! Free transfer to Area 52. New server! More leveling, more drama, another split, another server (alone this time), a return, a reformation, altitis, success, Wrath.
So where was I going with this…I forgot. Oh well. Anyway, been playing a hunter since 2005 and alt happy not too long after. I’m an achievement and vanity pet whore, and I like bacon.
Thanks for stopping by, and Welcome!
